Exploring the current workforce reporting landscape
Aakash Kapur
Really enjoyed sharing the stage this week to speak about the workforce reporting landscape, with Rosie Mackenzie (WDI), Charlotte Lush (WDI), and Clémence Chatelin (CCLA). Some key workforce reporting takeaways below:
Learning from the "E"
Environmental metrics offer lessons for social disclosures, but challenges persist due to the qualitative nature of social issues. For instance, compliance with regulations like the Modern Slavery Act doesn't guarantee prevention of issues on the ground. Also, more topic-specific professionals, such as HR and Diversity teams, have walked into the ESG investment conversation to own full reporting processes.
Fostering collaborative efforts
Understanding alignment across your responsibilities better and using tech to help, will leverage previous efforts better, enable you to benchmark to peers, and better collate data across stakeholders.
Optimising resource allocation
The solution lies in aiding companies to align data across various frameworks and managing data in a way that avoids having to recreate the wheel multiple times a year. Across the WDI, ISSB, ESRS, GRI, and much more that we work on, when reporting is done correctly the first time and with technology, subsequent reporting becomes much more efficient.
Recording

Thank you again to the WDI team for the invitation! You can also find the recording on YouTube and on LinkedIn.
